INDUSTRIAL, MARINE and FIRE PROTECTIVE COATINGS

Built to Last Where It’s Harshest

Proprietary formulations, full-cycle manufacturing and certified application services for the toughest assets of industries

One chain of accountability

Formulated, produced and applied by one team.

Five competencies, one contract, one point of responsibility for the surface we hand over.

01 · Formulation & R&D

Twenty years of formulation work, aimed at the environments most coatings are not built for.

Every coating system is specified by its chemical resistance, curing conditions, service temperature range, dry film thickness and overcoat interval. These parameters are selected according to the corrosivity category of the environment and the actual condition of the asset.

The in-house AKRUS laboratory has been developing coatings since 2006. Formulations are tested against international standards at the development stage, so the chemistry matches the service conditions it will meet: high heat and humidity, or the sub-zero winters of a continental climate.

Consulting & Inspection

A coating can look fine and still be failing underneath.

Moisture under the film, lost adhesion, corrosion under insulation. None of it is visible until the repair gets expensive.

AKRUS consulting ends in an engineering verdict: the corrosivity category of the site, the protection system calculated for it, and the remaining service life of the existing coating.

Brief

Asset data and operating conditions.

Step 2

Inspection

Site survey, including drone access to structures that crews cannot reach.

Step 3

Analysis

Defect map and the root cause of the coating failure.

Step 4

Specification

Protection system calculated for the corrosivity category on site.

Step 5

Verdict

Engineering conclusion and long-term protection strategy.

03 · Manufacturing

The formula is repeatable. Making it repeatable is the harder part.

Coating manufacture demands precision at every stage: component mixing, pigment dispersion, viscosity and maturation time.

AKRUS runs the plant to engineered parameters. Equipment loading is calculated, process parameters are monitored at each stage, and lines are maintained on schedule so batches do not drift from specification.

The same approach applies to the operating plant and to the design of new capacity: epoxy, polyurethane and intumescent lines, raw-material logistics and manufacturing quality standards.

04 · Application Services

Certified crews who prepare, apply and verify the coating on your site.

The AKRUS application division delivers the full protection cycle: abrasive blasting and mechanical surface preparation, application of the coating system, and verification of dry film thickness and adhesion at every stage.

Since 2011, more than 450 projects, including hazardous facilities and confined-space work: tank farms, compressor stations, refineries, port infrastructure.

One contractor for preparation and application removes the most common cause of early failure, the gap between what the TDS specifies and what actually happens on site.

05 · Training & Certification

Performance engineered in the lab is only realized by trained personnel on site.

The design service life of a coating system is set at the formulation stage. It is achieved only when the application procedure is followed: surface preparation to the specified grade, verification of wet and dry film thickness, overcoat intervals and curing conditions.

AKRUS is developing a training programme for applicators and QC inspectors working on the projects it supplies, so that what the laboratory designed is what the site delivers.
